Program: Chuck Bingenheimer, Align Global Consulting
Chuck
Stedman was responsible for today's program. Chuck was born at an early
age, which through him a little behind. He attended Williams High School
and UNC-Chapel Hill. After putting in a six-year stint in the Marine
Corps Reserves, he earned his law degree at the University of Tennessee
and afterward worked at the US Attorney's office in Knoxville for four
years. He then returned to Alamance County and began his law practice,
which is multi-faceted. During the past year, four of his cases went to
the NC Supreme Court. In one of those, he was privileged to argue his
case before the justices.
Charles G. (Chuck) Bingenheimer was our guest speaker. He recently joined Align Global Consulting as the Managing Director/Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Bingenheimer is also a graduate of UNC and is a CPA. He was most recently part of Kingsdown and helped them expand their business overseas. While doing that he realized that many companies need quite a bit of help in that area. After meeting Sean King, the president and founder of Align Global Consulting, he agreed to partner with him in such a business venture. The goal is to be part of the overall team employed by companies who are expanding and doing business overseas. They do not attempt to replace the existing legal and accounting services that businesses currently employ. Rather, they offer their unique abilities to help navigate the complex world of doing business globally. Since the US is pricing itself out of the market by having the highest corporate taxes in the world, more and more companies are going overseas in some capacity. Align Global Consulting can offer assistance in a much more cost effective manner than some of the larger firms. Some areas of expertise are the following:
Global Expansion Implementation
Global Structuring
Global Business Transactions
International Tax Planning
Intellectual Property Issues
Transfer Pricing
Card Pool
Betty Andrews held the winning ticket and drew for the Ace of Diamonds, with no success. She selected the Queen of Diamonds instead, but, since this wasn't horseshoes, close doesn't count. David Moore expressed how sorry he was that she failed in her quest. The pot continues to grow!
The meeting
concluded with a recitation of Rotary's Four Way Test led by
President Mac.
